It is almost the time of year where one gets a new diary and starts listing out their new goals that they wanna chase in the new year. Only to give up after the first month. Usually, people set goals to better themselves in certain aspects of life. Perhaps Financially for adults and Academically for students. No Matter the goal, it is pointless if we just quit. So to prevent that here are some ways for YOU to set realistic and achievable goals. Remember these tips don't have to be limited to only NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS!!!!
Be Specific:
Instead of vague goals like "get an A in Maths" set specific targets such as "Do 1 chapter of Probability exercises." Dissect each goal into bite sized pieces, either using the amount of pages to do or time spent studying.
Create a To-Do list:
Make a list of things you want to cover within a time period. Time can be limited and tight. Set a weekly target to catch up or improve on certain weaker area's of studies. Creating a to-do list also helps to keep progress and once you look back, you will realize just how much you have completed.
Stay Committed:
Share your resolutions with friends or join a group that shares similar goals. Or share it anonymously online! This way you can get encouragement or feedback. Sometimes you get stuck in a hurdle. Sharing your progress can be a way to help you stay committed and not lose track of what you have built.
Be Flexible:
Life can be unpredictable. If setbacks occur, reassess your goals and adjust them as needed rather than giving up entirely.
The Importance of Reflection
As you embark on your journey of self-improvement, take time to reflect on your progress throughout the year. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and learn from any challenges you encounter. This practice not only boosts motivation but also reinforces commitment to your resolutions. Happy new year and Good luck with your resolutions!!!!
